This successful comedian/actor whose voice sounds like a turkey being strangled, has had a career in films and television including stints on Green Acres and Petticoat Junction as the wily Mr. Haney. His southern drawl and quick wit make Pat a must listen.

Funniest Roasts of The Century Vol. 1
Comedy legends Milton Berle, Pat McCormick, Slappy White, Pat Buttram, Jackie Vernon, Henny Youngman, and Dick Shawn roast some of the biggest stars in show business. Find out what goes on behind closed doors at those infamous "celebrity roasts". Now for the first time ever, you have a front row seat, and listen as the greatest "roastmaster" of them all, Milton Berle, delivers his unique brand of stinging one-liners to some of the most famous people in comedy. The "stage roast" was a tradition in show business as a means to raise money for worthwhile charities. Tickets were available only to members of show business private clubs and their guests, and would cost as much as $250.00 each. The comedians and stars would allow themselves to be torn to shreds, with the most explicit language ever heard. Over the years, millions of dollars were raised and donated to hospitals, underprivileged children's organizations, senior citizen homes, and many other charities. No women were allowed to attend these affairs during the time period that these events took place, as the material was considered too offensive for delicate ears.
Funniest Roasts of The Century Vol. 2
Mostly the same comedians as in Vol.1, plus Rich Little and Norm Crosby get even funnier and filthier. We have obtained some of these recordings from private sources who secretly recorded the roast with small tape recorders. They're in prison now, but what do we care. Laugh it up!

I loved Pat Buttram, or as he is known to me, my Great Uncle Pat Buttram. I only knew him when he was older because I am only 22 years old, but he was a sweet, funny man and I miss him. But, I’m sure my daughter will now enjoy watching the cartoons that he did voices for and when she gets a little older she can watch some of his old shows with Gene Autry and Green Acres.

Loved his character on Green Acres, on every night here in CT on Nick at Night at 9:30...favorite Mr. Haney lines: "Well Mr. Douglas, this is your lucky day..." and the universally classic: "Mr. Douglas, as luck would have it, I just happen to have on the truck a gen-u-ine, authentic, immitation such and such...yours, for only $300..."

I too remember Pat in his days with Roy Rogers. A comic cut from the same cloth as Rod Brassfield and Minnie Pearl of the Grand Ol’ Opry. Lowkey humor which played very well in his Mr. Haney role on Green Acres. The running joke was that everyone knew what kind of lowlife Haney was, but Douglas always bought something from him anyway! By the way, Green Acres is my all-time favorite TV sitcom. Sadly, there’ll never be another incarnation of its ilk again.

Let’s take Pat Buttram back a few years further. I remember him as Roy Roger’s sidekick on b/w tv in 50’s, driving the jeep "Nellybelle". Always liked him.
