I’m looking for the comic who did a skit called, I think, Inside you. I also think it was done by Bill Dana. There’s a version floating around the internet called "Morning" Here’s the first line: "BRAIN SYSTEM: Attention. Alert registered." Google this phrase and you’ll find lots of places with the whole skit. But this is not the original! Does anyone know if Bill Dana did this, and, if not, who did it? The version I’m thinking of featured Captain Central, the brain, the stomach, eyes, etc.

I have Bill’s album "My name....Jose Jimenez", a compilation of Steve Allen bits on one side and a "press conference" on the other. This has to be one of the earliest records, one I listened to with my parents back in the 1960’s. I listened to it with my kids (12 and under) last night, and they were on the floor laughing. Thanks, Bill, for THREE generations of hilarity! You are a genius!

Wow...just got the new Bill Dana’s Greatest Bits CD. Worth every penny! I forgot just how funny Bill could be. All the man has to say is...My name is Jose Jimenez and people laugh. I listened to your material as a kid. In one of your albums you sang a song. I’ve been trying to find that song since. I think Herman’s Hermits did it too. Bill, I’ve always thought you were and are a comic genius, hope you read this and know how respected you are in the business of comedy! I interviewed you in SF at the debut of "The Laughter Principle" for CBS radio, and still work in broadcasting as a program director. When I coach talent, I often think of many of the comedic devices or phrases you have used, and use them as example. Finally- is there anything I or other fans "in the Biz" can do to get the "Bill Dana Show" onto TV Land? It should at least be re-packaged as a "complete collection" on DVD! I’d give my right arm for one...would you believe it?...Wooould you believe my left arm? How about ....("do it yourself" insert punchline here!) Regards, Steve
