John was a pioneer of cable television and recently by having plastic surgery performed on the web became an internet pioneer. His brilliant impressions have often been copied, but never duplicated.

I must agree with Ruth Buzzi’s recognition of my father’s talent, he always could surprize us as kids, and still, to this day his wit and talent are still in demand. The Byner kids in order of birth (fyi), Sandra Ann "Sandi", Rosine Catherine " Ro ", Donald Joseph " Don " Donny to the ladies, and, Patricia Lynn " Patty ". Though we grew up in MALIBU Ca. amongst the Rich and famous, each one of us were able to experience a regular childhood, myself finding skateboarding and surfing in the early 1970’s and found myself hanging around, and getting tips from, DOGTOWN Z-BOYS legends like DAVID HACKETT and TONY ALVA , ( sister Ro dated JAY ADAMS for a short time ) and, I still skate to this day in LAS VEGAS (good free parks here). Dad never expected too much from us, in return we truly found ourselves and exelled, that was his gift, " I’m not going to force you ( or hold your hands ) in this buisiness like your friends". With that, we REALLY were able to become humble people comming from an EXTRAODINARY background. Best Always, Donny Byner LONG LIVE DOGTOWN AND THE Z-BOYS !!! R.I.P. o.g.d.t. BIRDMAN AND POLAR BEAR

John is one of the finest talents in the entire world of comedy, with an incredible mind, great timing, writing ability to go along with great comedic acting, and one of the nicest guys you would ever know. I think of this fellow as a comedy giant, and I should know. Ruth Buzzi, Hollywood, California

Growing up the oldest of four children in the Byner household was anything but usual. Can you imagine you Father doing John Wayne to get you to clean up your room? "Well, you better circle the wagons around this mess, little missy". I agree with you all- Bizarre should be available to all of us again-he had us kids on too!!! Much love and appriciation to all of his fans- His loving daughter, Sandi

John’s skit of Donald Duck imitating John Wayne on the Carol Burnett show still has me laughing. He’s comic genius; never heard of ’Bizarre", but if it has John in it, I’d love to see it.

I would love to see the episode where they were all drunk with some half naked ladies and they were all signing the declaration of independence. I loved the line where JOHN HANCOCK comes up to sign the declaration, had me laughing for days.

John Byner’s "Kenny Bobbedy" was a classic complete with hairdo. Would like a picture of that. John’s talent is unsurpassed.

I always liked John and think he got a raw deal when, Bizarre, a show he founded was taken over by Bob Einstein (Super Dave Osborne). Unfunny Dave ran out of sight gags and gas at the same time. John Byner is a tremendous talent that has never gotten his due share of accolades from his profession. There are many TV shows on the air featuring people that are not 1/20 as funny as John and it makes you wonder how they get renewed.

Byner hasn’t gotten the credit he deserves. He’s the inspiration for many modern-day comedians. His impressions are second to none...including Rich Little’s
